Phaffing to the South - My Africa cycle Trip
About me
My name is Klaus Bachhofer, I was born and raised in Windhoek - Namibia. I am currently 32 years of age. I am currently working for a Construction firm in the South of Germany until the end of September after which I want to start with my cycling trip back to Namibia.
I have a passion for travelling, photography, meeting new people and seeing new places. I am looking forward to see wether I can endure all the obstacles that life will trough in my way. This will be my first trip by bicycle and there is still a lot of training (mental and phisical) to do before I can take this on.
When I was still in school, I always wanted to travel from Germany via the land route back to my Hometown Windhoek. At that time of my life I was thinking that the best way to do such a trip would be by Motorcycle, but I have decided now that I will take a bicycle because of a couple of reason.

- Taking a Bicycle is a very inexpencive way to travel.
- Repairs that have to be done I can do myself.
- The speed that I will be travelling enables me to really take in all the experiences, good and bad.
